Abstract
Dud je zaboravljena voćna vrsta čiji su plodovi vrlo visoke hranidbene vrijednosti. U hrvatskoj dominira bijeli dud te crni dud dok je najmanje zastupljen crveni dud. Nema plantažnih nasada, ali zato postoji na tisuće pojedinačnih stabala na okućnicama ili drvoredima. Cilj ovog istraživanja je evidentiranje najkvalitetnije populacije duda u Istarskoj županiji. Prvenstveno smo obratili pozornost na krupnoću i boju ploda. Pratili smo fenofaze razvoja odabranih stabala, te ubrali plodove i obavili njihova mjerenja. Stablo crne sorte (Poreč) ima najveće vrijednosti dužine ploda (23,82 mm), širine ploda (19,36 mm), dužine peteljke kod ženskih stabala (11,27 mm) te i masu ploda (376 g/100 plodova). Dok stablo crne sorte (Poreč) ima najveće vrijednosti, stablo crne sorte (Rovinj) ima najmanju masu plodova (115 g) te najuže plodova (10,01 mm), a najkraću peteljku ploda ima bijela sorta (Filozići – Cres), dok su najkraći plodovi kod bijele sorte (Vodnjan).
