Abstract
Zvuk gotovo u svakom trenutku okružuje čovjeka. Olakšava mu komunikaciju te pomaže u percepciji okoline. Međutim, također može stvoriti i neugodan osjećaj koji se onda naziva buka. Kada buka, pa tako i buka koju stvaraju vozila cestovnog prometa, pređe određenu razinu izraženu u decibelima, može dovesti do negativnih posljedica za zdravlje čovjeka. Stoga se treba voditi zakonima, pravilnicima te propisanim normama o uređenju prometnica i mjerama zaštite od buke kako bi se emisija prekomjerne buke prometnica u potpunosti izbjegla ili svela na najmanju moguću razinu s ciljem zaštite zdravlja ljudi, ali i zaštite flore i faune koja okružuje prometnice.
