Abstract
Sa stajališta sigurnosti cestovnog prometa, kočnice i kočioni sustav su jedan od najvažnijih čimbenika sustava sigurnosti vozila. Svrha kočionog sustava je da omogući zaustavljanje motornog vozila na brz, siguran i efikasan način bez obzira u kojima se uvjetima vozilo nalazi, brzinu kretanja vozila, opterećenje vozila i nagiba ceste. U ovom završnom radu prikazana je povijest, te evolucija kočnica, koje vrste kočnica danas u svijetu postoje, dijelovi kočionog sustava i aktivni sustavi kočenja. Prikazan je i postupak pregleda dijelova kočionog sustava te tijek ispitivanja sustava kočenja u ovlaštenoj stanici za tehnički pregled vozila s primjerom iz prakse. Tehnički pregled kočnica i općenito vozila obavlja za to ovlaštena osoba prema Zakonu o sigurnosti prometa na cestama i to prema pravilniku koji točno definira ispravnost kočnica te cjelokupnog vozila.
