Abstract
U današnje vrijeme gotovo je nemoguće zamisliti život bez automobila. Automobil je postao svakodnevna potreba mladih, zaposlenih ali i starijih ljudi te povećanjem prometovanja dolazi do rasta broja prometnih nesreća koje se događaju krivicom vozača ili vozila. Kroz rad su prikazani razni testovi sigurnosti koji se provode u namjeri da se smanji taj broj prometnih nesreća, uprizoruju se moguće opasne situacije te proučavaju reakcije, tolerancija i sigurnost vozila za putnike, a na temelju čega se automobilu daje sveukupna ocjena. Nadalje, uz postojeće senzore koji pomažu u održavanju prometa, vožnja je daleko olakšana za čovjeka, a razvojem tehnologije i uvođenjem još novijih senzora smanjuje se rizik od nesreća te teži ka još većoj sigurnosti
