Abstract
Zdravstveni djelatnici, liječnici, medicinske sestre i radnici u stalnoj su opasnosti od profesionalnih bolesti. Stručnjak zaštite i sigurnosti na radu ima važnu ulogu kod prevencije, odnosno smanjenja nastanka profesionalnih bolesti. Obzirom da potpunu sigurnost na radu nije moguće postići, vrlo je bitno ukloniti ili smanjiti rizike na radnom mjestu. Ukoliko dođe do nastanka profesionalne bolesti, istu je potrebno prijaviti liječniku medicine rada. Pneumokonioze i profesionalne pneumopatije su profesionalne bolesti dišnog sustava koje su raširene kod radnika koji su izloženi prašinama i dimovima. Cilj zaštite na radu je povećanje sigurnog i zdravog okruženja na radnom mjestu u koji su uključeni i poslodavac, suradnici, članovi obitelji, te drugi koji se nalaze u radnom okruženju.
