Abstract
Inteligentni transportni sustav (ITS) mijenja načine funkcioniranja i strukturiranja prometnog sustava. Primjenom ITS-a u prometnom sustavu znatno se poboljšavaju performance prometnog sustava te se postiže veća protočnost transporta ljudi i robe, kao i veća sigurnost transporta, učinkovitiji prijevoz i kvalitetnija usluga te ekološka poboljšanja. Razvoj tehnologije doprinosi širenju primjene ITS-a od elektroničke naplate cestarina, daljinskog upravljanja prometnicom do raznih sustava u vozilima koji pomažu vozačima prilikom vožnje, a također informiraju i putnike.
