Abstract
U završnom radu obrađena je tema luke kao čimbenika logistike i distribucije. Logistika je sustav koji organizira, kontrolira i realizira tokove dobara od mjesta proizvodnje do krajnjeg korisnika kroz koordinirane logističke aktivnosti i procese. Distribucija je uži pojam od logistike te je osnovna svrha distribucije omogućiti dostupnost proizvoda ili usluga korisnicima, u odgovarajućoj količini, u pravo vrijeme i na pravom mjestu. Luke su prometna čvorišta u kojima se sastaju pomorski i kopneni promet čime postaju važan čimbenik u prometnom sustavu. Integracijom luka u sustav logistike, luke postaju logistički centri i važan čimbenik dobavnog lanca. Luka Rijeka, kao najveća hrvatska pomorska luka, zahvaljujući geoprometnom položaju povezana je s prometnim sustavom cijele Europe. Kao i ostale luke, Luka Rijeka sve više prilagođava svoje poslovanje sustavu logistike kako bi povećala svoju učinkovitost i konkurentnost na tržištu.
