Abstract
U radu je obrađna tema primjene carpooling i carsharing sustava s aspekta ublažavanja postojećeg stanja prezagušenosti cestovnog prometa automobilima. U sklopu toga provedeno je istraživanje odnosno anketiranje potencijalnih i stvarnih korisnika ovih sustava. Carpooling i carsharing pojavljuju se kao nadopuna postojećem javnom gradskom prijevozu s ciljem smanjenja gužvi, a samim time i smanjenja vremena putovanja do željene destinacije, te poboljšanja kvalitete urbanog života. U radu su iznesene prednosti i nedostaci istoga, te su objašnjeni temeljni pojmovi vezani uz navedeno kao što su HOV i HOT trake, te kako se navedenim sustavima može ublažiti i aktualni problem parkiranja u gradovima. Nakon razmatranja osnovnih pojmova i primjera u svijetu, na kraju rada nalazi se osvrt na trenutno stanje u Republici Hrvatskoj vezano za carpooling i carsharing, te rezultati provedenog istraživanja.
