Abstract
Rad pod temom „Kontejnerizacija u svijetu“ započinje obradu iste razradom samog pojma pomorskih robnih tokova, njihovo formiranje i položaj u strukturi svjetske robne razmjene. Zatim je obrađen pojam kontejnera, njegovi tipovi i vrste te pojam kontejnerskog broda kao i kontejnerski terminali. Prikazane su i prednosti procesa kontejnerizacije kao i njegovi nedostatci. Izvršena je analiza svjetskih kontejnerskih luka te detaljnija analiza europskih kontejnerskih luka točnije njihov promet kroz godine. Kao bliži primjer obrađen je kontejnerski promet luke Rijeka, te konkurentnost kontejnerskog prometa luke Rijeka u svijetu. Kao završetak u obradi ove teme, iznesena je tendencija razvitka kontejnerskog prometa luke Rijeka kao i važnost hrvatskih željeznica u poslovanju luke Rijeka.
