Abstract
U ovom radu prikazana je primjena hibridnih vozila u javnom prometu. Navedena su i objašnjena osnovna goriva za pogon javnih vozila, usporedba pogona na plin, pogona na benzin i dizel, pogona na struju i hibridnog pogona. Objašnjene su ekološke i ekonomske prednosti hibridnih vozila u odnosu na vozila sa motorom sa unutrašnjim izgaranjem. Ograničenost neobnovljivih izvora energije i sve veća zagađenost okoliša rezultirala je porastom broj hibridnih vozila u javnom prometu na globalnoj razini. Prikazane su vrste dostupnih hibridnih vozila u svjetskim gradovima te koncept javnog prijevoza za grad Rijeku.
