Abstract
U ovom završnom radu opisani su svjetlovodi i njihova primjena u računalnim mrežama, postupci njihova polaganja, spajanja i korištenja. Prikazane su mogućnosti koje svjetlovodi nude te njihove prednosti. Teoretski dio obrađen je u svrhu lakšeg tumačenja praktičnog dijela, odnosno u svrhu razumijevanja projektiranja mreža i tehničkih uvjeta koji su nužni za izradu istih. Svrha ovog rada je opisati strukturu svjetlovodne distribucijske mreže i njenu osnovnu podjelu, ali i prikazati faze projektiranja te smještaj ključnih elemenata svjetlovodne mreže u prostoru.
