Abstract
Globalna financijska i ekonomska kriza koju je obilježio bankrot američke investicijske banke Lehman Brothers 2008. god. u SAD uzdrmala je svjetsku ekonomiju i imala veliki utjecaj na burze vrijednosnih papira diljem svijeta pa tako i u Republici Hrvatskoj. Okidač početka krize počeo je u SAD slomom tržišta drugorazrednih hipotekarnih kredita koji se prenio kao lančana reakcija na sav financijski sektor . Globalni utjecaj financijske krize zaustavio je rast gospodarstva u EU, ugrozio rad javnih financija i stvorio nepovjerenje financijskog tržišta. Kriza nije zaobišla ni Hrvatsku čiji je financijski i gospodarski sektor tada već duboko bio povezan sa europskim i svjetskom financijskim sistemom. Ovaj rad analizira poslovanje cjelokupnog sustava Zagrebačke burze sa posebnim naglaskom utjecaja krize na njezino poslovanje uz procjenu brzine oporavka Hrvatske burze vrijednosnih papira.
