Abstract
Dentalne ambulante proizvode medicinski otpad koji se dijeli na opasan medicinski otpad i neopasan medicinski otpad. Opasan medicinski otpad predstavlja opasnost za zdravlje i sigurnost ljudi i okoliša, dok je neopasan medicinski otpad prema svojim svojstvima sličan komunalnom otpadu (npr. papir, karton, plastika). Tema ovog završnog rada je prikazati postupanje s medicinskim otpadom nastalim u ambulanti dentalne medicine u Domu zdravlja Varaždin. Kroz rad provodi se analiza količine otpada i vrste otpada. Opisani su postupci prikupljanja, razvrstavanja i skladištenja otpada u spomenutoj ustanovi. Objašnjen je krajnji postupak zbrinjavanja prikupljenog medicinskog otpada. Na kraju rada ponuđene su mjere i postupci za unaprjeđenje sustava upravljanja otpadom u dentalnoj ambulanti.
