Abstract
Osnovni zadatak i cilj zimske službe na autocestama je osigurati optimalne uvjete odvijanja prometa i sigurnost za sve sudionike u prometu. Osim redovnog održavanja i sezonskih pripremnih radova, u razdoblju zimskih mjeseci provode se radovi postavljanja dodatne signalizacije, ophodnje, praćenja vremenskih prilika (zbog mogućnosti poledice i oborina), te po potrebi posipanje i pluženje kolnika- Organizacija zimske službe na autocesti Rijeka-Zagreb uređena je izvedbenim programom zimske službe u kojem su detaljno definirani zakoni i propisi, pravila i redoslijed radova u zimskoj službi, te postupanje kod izvanrednih događaja.
