Abstract
Nezaposlenost je pojava s kojim se susrećemo u svakodnevnom životu. Gubitak posla nije samo ekonomski problem, već negativno utječe na psihološko zdravlje i socijalizaciju pojedinca. Dobrobiti koje nam zaposlenost pruža jesu: socijalna interakcija, zarada, sigurnost, zadovoljstvo i samopoštovanje, povišenje razine aktivacije, raznolikost okoline, itd. Ako se ne zadovolje ove funkcije rada, nezaposlenost će predstavljati glavni izvor stresa što znači da će biti pogubno za zdravlje pojedinca. Suzbijanje nezaposlenosti danas je vrlo važno jer zbog pojave „Odljev mozgova“, sve više mladih stručnjaka i intelektualca odlazi tražiti zaposlenje u inozemstvo. Psihološke aspekte nezaposlenosti potrebno je sagledati u svim njegovim aspektima, a to su, mjerenje nezaposlenosti, uzroci, posljedice, suzbijanje nezaposlenosti te kako aktivno pronaći zaposlenje.
