Abstract
Afera Dieselgate odnosno afera oko varanja na testovima o ispušnim plinovima automobila tvrtke Volkswagen najpoznatija je masovna prijevara kupaca automobila u ovom stoljeću. Prijevara je provedena tako da se unutar sustava za kontrolu i smanjivanje ispušnih plinova ugrađivao poseban softver koji je prepoznavao radi li se o laboratorijskim testiranjima automobila ili o redovnoj upotrebi automobila na cestama. Posljedice afere naizgled bile su dalekosežne, kako za gospodarstvo Njemačke, tako i... More za ugled najvećeg proizvođača automobila u Njemačkoj. U ovome radu prikazuju se tehničke osobine diesel vozila i njihovih turbopunjača koje su omogućile postavljanje softvera na sustave za regulaciju ispušnih plinova. Također se istražuje i način izbijanja afere odnosno otkrivanje postojanja ovoga softvera, opravdanje i stajalište koje je zauzeo Volkswagen te posljedice koje je navedena afera imala na automobilsku industriju te na reputaciju same tvrtke.
